As I said, the product description reads well...but a video clip, with no camera cuts, of the product "in action" would be better.

Send a free copy to someone who can give us an independant point of view, a review. Send one to Kim. It's not my $10 I worry but I hate being mugged off.

As I don't know what this is, I'd not consider purchasing it.
Is this a magic trick, or is this a cheating device? There's a huge difference between the two if you're going to post in this forum for potential customers. Get it reviewed, or tell us more about it. |

I think it is a gimmick of some kind because you can purchase the notes with the gimmick. I have been thinking about what this could be, and I have narrowed it down to a couple things. Some kind of shiner or a

Folks in this forum probably aren't interested in 'tricks' as such, and likely will want to know more about the context this item is used in as it relates to gambling or hustling.
It's Tony's item or effect, and he can tell us all to go pound sand if he likes, but if I were him I'd be tempted (if this truly does relate to gambling and/or hustling) to try and answer some of these questions. The reason I'd answer these questions is because there's a lot of folks like me in this forum, folks who would purchase anything new or interesting as it related to gambling or hustling, but who aren't magicians and don't have the magicians inclination to buy 'tricks' without ANY information as to what exactly those tricks are. Tony, can you (or will you) tell us more? |

I don’t know really Kim but you seem a trustworthy guy...then again you might be Silas Green for all I know.
When Silas Green of Pumkinvill Prepared to leave the Farm, His father thought some good advice Might do the boy no harm. “My son,” He said, “you’re going away to that there distant city. your going to look for wealth and fame and to fail would be a pity. The city’s full of slickers, boy, The crooks and the gold brick men, Why they’ll steal the gold out of your teeth And the ink out of your pen. Now here’s a bit of good advice, You’ll find that it is true, If you slick the slickers first He can’t hornswoggle you.” But Silas, in the great big town, Was seen in evil places. He met with men who played with cards And women with painted faces. Some evil men proposed to Si a little gambiling game A simple task of matching cards, Stud poker was its name. The simple rules were soon explained, Si should have been on guard, But recklessly he plunged right in And bet on every card. A crafty gambler dealt the cards, A slippery cuss was he. By crooked dealing he made sure Si ’s first card was a 3. The next card dealt was poorer yet I know it’s clear to you: There’s only 1 card lower then a 3 And that card is a 2. No quitter, Si put up more cash, Thought he “I’ll do the dare.” The next card brightened up the hand An Silas had a pair. So Silas bought another card, And Lady Luck seemed kind. For this card was also a deuce He had three of a kind. The best of things, someone has said, Are sometimes out of place; And Silas found this saying true, The next card was an ace. The gambler who dealt the cards Reached out to take the cash, But Si exclaimed in ringing tones, ”Stop slickers don't be rash.” We play this game down on the farm And in some other places; And I have found when slickers deal, It’s best to have 4 aces.

While reviews are nice....more than one opinion is required to have true value.
I still vote for the video clip....since I suspect a shinner (of course, I may be wrong)....seeing how good or bad the angles are would be of use That is why I requested "multiple camera angles"....or better yet, 2-3 simultanious cameras shooting from different angles.

Hi Guys,
There are a few reviews of my product here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......59&6 I ran the idea past quite a few knowledgeable people and no one thought it was a rip off or a bad idea, so how do I feel about it? I like it... if I felt it was of no value I would not even think of releasing it. Can you use the device for gambling? yes. Can you use it for magic? yes Can you use it for mentalism? yes It IS an old gambling utility device, I took the concept and simplified the handling issues that I did not like on the original and found a very inexpensive way to produce said gimmick with very little effort or time. I hope I answered your questions gentlemen. Regards, Tony

Tony, the reviews sound wonderful, but in the world of gambling folks like to know exactly what they are getting, meaning, if they are n-strippers tell us, if it is juice tell us, if it is a punch tell us, etc. Many of us know exactly what we want. we certainly don't want to buy something, unless we know "how" it is going to help our game.
just my 2 cents |

Then you guys should be able to tell what's what. A "closely-guarded gambler's secret" to use for magic and mentalism, sold to everyone at $10? I don't have it but I'm willing to bet it's a version of a very well-known device.
It's not expensive so you won't be too disappointed I'm sure, so go ahead and check it out if you like. But likely this has already been exposed in all the old books, and the value in it is how this particular version of the gimmick is made. |

Splice, I have a good idea what it is, that's not the point. I was trying to point out the marketing to hustlers is very different than to magicians, that's all

I don't have a problem with not disclosing the gimmcik or method....after all that is what magic is all about.
However, I am concerned about angles and complexity of handling. That is why I like videos that do not cut away the problem areas. A non-stop video clip tells more that text about technique. The video does not have to be hollywood quality...even a webcam quality will do.
