Might not be a need, but it is a want. And it is a good way to make them, that I am sure of.

I agree that the Genii is not needed for simple back-to-back gaffs, but it's terrific for aligning split cards and inlays. I don't trim my gaffs to a square, as Craig teaches, so the Genii, for me, is indispensable. Cardmaker, you're going to love the Coverite iron!

Here is a picture of my ironing board with a jig to align cards perfectly.
Same as Magiguy, I don't cut a square.
When DMT is bonded to 1 side of the card, I only cut 1 long side and 1 short side. This allows me to align the card to the angle.

I have about 100 cards here that are ready to be DMT'd, so I can't wait to receive my iron!

I went to the website and saw a few models of the Coverite iron. I wasn't sure which model you had purchased, though.

Thanks for your response.

I really appreciate the fact that Craig continually updates the work and offers the revised PDFs at no charge to purchasers of previous editions. This is the mark of a great seller, and a creator who takes genuine pride in his work. Hats off to you, Craig!!

I want to mark a deck of cards with numbers instead of indices. Is this possible with this kit?

Also, is Google the only place to buy this?
Thanks

Hmmm... sounds more like a printing job than a splitting job, but maybe I am misunderstanding your post. Craig's book does cover printing, but it would be a fairly cumbersome process for making an entire deck, if you ask me.

On another note...
I just received an entire box of dental dam sheets, and now I'm looking forward to a weekend of making acrobatic cards. Smile

Hi Bernd,
I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking the brand of card I use (generally poker size Bicycle), or the card value I use (varies, but I tend to go from indifferent value to royal straight flush), or what I use the acrobatic cards for (I love Bob Koch's Impulse Change), or something else...? There are some terrific ideas in Marlo's book "The Acrobatic Cards."

Best regards,
Evan

In case you're all wondering what happened to the Google link, I want to let everyone know that my ebook "The Gaff Factory" is now available exclusively through Lybrary.com:

Thanks,

I just wanted to say that I went and bought Craigs book from the following http://www.lybrary.com/gaff-factory-comp......750.html

The books layout is awesome it is very easy to understand and read and the photos are superb. It takes you through the process of gaffing cards step by step and the sections on printing your own gaffs are worth the price alone. This is a valuable resource for anyone interested in making gaffed cards. Craig thanks again for the book it is much appreciated.

Sincerely

Adrian Deery

I believe I read somewhere that this comes with some DMT to get you started. Is this correct?

That offer has ended. However, if there's enough interest, I'll look into having Lybrary carry a deluxe package that includes DMT.

I think that's a great idea. So long as it's reasonably priced. Smile
