Hey,

I was just wandering what sort of misdirection everyone uses when they are stealing balls in a billiard ball routine. e.g for one ball you could do a ball roll. But I was wandering what sort of misdirection you guys use in your routines or any other ideas that you know of. Do steal a ball differently if you are trying to produce a third ball? etc. Also does anyone know of any great books on the use of misdirection and stealing. Any input would be great.

Thanks a lot.

Personally I don't consider the ball roll sufficent misdirection for a steal. My routine needs 10 balls, all solid. First two are stolen at the end of the previous peice. 3rd is a table steal on a ditch. Then all but the last 2 are done on productions. The last two being my own take on drop steals, which can be done front of body and are invisible, the only required hand movement is covered in posing.

The best source for Billiard ball steals has to be Geoffrey Buckingham's "It's easier than you think", but that's hard to find, I think his lecture DVD is much easier to find.

Best of Luck,
Paul

I have his book "It's easier Then You Think". There is simply a wonderful and great section devoted to steals and body steals and proper misdirection used for billiard ball work etc. a great resource if you can find the book out there. it is a wealth of information in it.
