I'm not sure if it's a foundation or something else. Still, has anybody heard of it? Is it a true foundation and worthwhile time-investment?

What I've been told is that the Youth Ventures program helps young people like me start businesses/organizations that will benefit their community even after the original founder/ceo/whatever leaves, graduates or just moves on. Can someone who has done this, if anyone has, describe their experiences with this?
