Truth is I specifically didn't stop as it was pretty bleak and I didn't want to add to his possible gloom (seriously) by discussing it. I plan to see him on the 1st when we go back. That way he can talk about successes (or not). Last Sat and Sunday there was Mexican Luche Libre. The stands and specially set up seats around the ring were about empty. It looked pathetic and the promoter had some big time 'stars' from over the border...the show was FREE. When I saw the coverage on TV I couldn't believe it. Only the first few seats around the ring had people in them. The fair boards have killed the Golden Goose. Simple as that. Prices are out of hand. $8 for a small cup of beer? Very little promotion on special events. NONE on the Nerveless Nocks...none on the Wrestling...just a joke.

I'm off today to go work the Salem Va.fair June 28th-July 8th.Salem is right next to Roanoke,so if anybody lives close and is going to the fair be sure to stop by and say hello.

Had a real nice meet up with Carl. The kid is amazing in so many ways. A real go getter with great ideas, a terrific smile and all the drive of a heard of BMWs. He will go so far they haven't measured it yet.

One thing he is very concerned with is that he will be on QVC with his Squirmell worm on July 25th. They promised him 5,000 worms sold in under 9 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will for sure be a world record but they had a requirement that is bothering him. We'll see how it turns out. He's a great kid.
He has other things in the hopper as well I suppose I shouldn't talk about. Anyway...he's the best of the best.
