Hey guys, Kyle here with my first post on ventriloquism. I've been interested in the art since I was 12 and always wanted to own a dummy. I got an Ax chimp when I was 13 and I must say, he still looks darn good.(i'm 19 now) However, I've never really used him in my shows. I've always been afraid of not being able to manipulate the puppet well enough. Recently, I realized that the Axtell magic drawing board could be ideal for me. What I wanted to ask is this...

I've heard performers here say the board can malfunction due to the hot weather in Singapore. Another concern of mine is the plastic on the board. there were some threads on the changing of the plastic. What issit for?? If the board is badly stained, would some alcohol based cleaner do the job? so 2 things... the heat and humidity in singapore and the plastic. Hope to hear from you guys soon. Cheers.

Hi Kyle. It shouldn't be a problem in Singapore. The very early design was more prone to warping the mechanism....but that was 20 years ago! Man I'm getting old. The plastic is a lexan polycarbonate that has a high polish on the outside. Use only the Expo2 or Low ordor Expo markers on it. Not regular expo. If you do that, you can clean it with Alcohol if you happen to leave your drawings on a long time and they stain. We also sell the markers and extra plastic, but the Axtell boards are better than ever. The trick is not to leave it sitting in a hot car in the sun for hours. That will hurt any prop.

Hope this helps! You will LOVE the board.

If you do get a puppet from us, you can join in the big Puppet Video Contest http://www.axtell.com/puppetvideochallenge.html
