Trois - did you also notice that the role of the lady at the employment agency, that sent Ben Stiller's character to the museum, was in fact Ben's mother Anne Meara?
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

That must be some heavy-gauge ductwork to not even sag as they climb through it, and there are never any turning vanes (must be the return). Once in a shoot-em-up movie there was a martial arts-type guy walking down a hallway listening for the bad guy in the duct. When he figured out where the guy was, he jumped (in slow motion, of course), landed a kick into the ceiling tile, broke open the duct, and the guy fell to the floor where he was apprehended.

I once met an entomologist. He mentioned that he often saw advertising photographs with butterflies. He could tell by their tongues, that they were dead.

I watched a show where one guy claimed to have beat a cobbler to death with his own shoes.
Wayne's World was awesome! Butterflies are stupid, and entomologists are buggers. Look up the words history. amosmc, I am pleased that I am not the only one. I wish I was the king of the world. I would put the death penalty for ignorant producers. However, if I were to make a movie about butterflies, I would make sure they were dead. Those butterflies are bloodthirsty bass turds. Similar to the flounder, but not mentioned in the "Cabin Boy" movie. My god, I don't even know what I'm saying. I just watched the movie, which by odd coincidence my wife just purchased. If you want to hear my sober opinions. I can only say: "What do you care what I think?" Otherwise, PM me for my opinion. If you do, I will tell everyone who I am still on speaking terms with here who you are. "I enjoy acid pops."
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

This movie will soon be forgotten. Most of the poeple I spoke can not even remember it a week after viewing it - leave alone the magic part.

Josh, you need a doctor...
I saw this movie, and thought it was okay. The magic part was a little p*** off, but the thumb tip has to be one of the most exposed effects anyway, so no big deal. And like others have said. No one really notices, except for the people who know what to look for. Except last night a saw a mistake in a movie that just about anyone could point out. An old Japanese fighting film. One guy was fighting, (go figure...) and he smashed a row of candles off a piano. Less than a second later, in another frame, the camera had a shot of the piano, and the candles magically appeared on top of the piano, unharmed again! Funny stuff. (I never really understand Japanese films anyway. Just a bunch of people who look like they could kill you 150 ways with their thumb...) |

Nah. He probably has no clue. He's just a dumb actor doing what he is told. No acadamy award for him in the future. But he is not worring about car payments and the such.
Not clever enough to come up with something orginal, or did I.

I rather enjoyed this movie. The exposure of the TT didn't sit well with me, but further into the movie I got over it. It was a lame way to expose it, though *sigh* Taking a crack at magicians just for a laugh. Why couldn't he have taken a crack at athletes instead? C'mon, he could use a jock strap wrong instead of a thumb tip...Much funnier

Nyte, that was good. I like the jock strap comparison. It would be funnier and more people would laugh at it. Or maybe he could of done the Laugh Bra, now that would be funny too. Trois

Guys, I have seen a few magicians in our local area, who have done the silk and someone sais.. OH YEAH you have one of those thumb thingys right. You need to work on that Hon. 100's of millions of people have seen that movie.. and kids will watch it over and over again. Make no mistake, The TT exposure will not be forgotten.
Just the trick of making a silk disappear, they don't need to see it, they will just say it. *** movie, that was a great trick that brought a lot of amazment and joy to people. I won't be a forgotten exposure, most kids will remember this. |

The TT is often a part of the childrens magic set. In theory, they all know about it. However, you still can fool them hard and heavy if you master the TT.
