Does someone own "Extremely Remote" by Bob Cassidy?

I have it and I've read it, but haven't performed it yet. Do you happen to have Theories and Methods of the Practical Psychic vol. 1?
He does have a remote viewing effect in that volume. This is definitely an improvement of that routine. I like it, those who have this routine or know his other remote viewing routine I referred to earlier. It's a lot of work to compile a list of places. It's not much money, so get it. Very inspiring, even if you're too lazy to make up the stuff that you need. If I would get around to do that, making the necessary 'prop' you need, I can definitely see myself performing this piece. For those who has seen/read/used Cassidy's other products know that they are practical and direct. Well, those were my two cents worth... Sincerly, Daniel Young

Extremely Remote is an excellent "full bodied" piece of mentalism, with a wonderful theme. The main prop has shades of "Chronologue", (i.e. handwriting a diary of sorts) but with even more preparation. A few nights work will be required to produce the main prop.
The effect also requires a second prop which you will need to manufacture. The time of production on this item depends on how "authentic" you want it to be. Anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Because of the props and time of production required, as well as performance skill and optimum venue, this effect is definitely aimed at the working mentalist. While certainly an excellent read, may not serve the hobbiest. Also included are two excellent "bonus" pieces. One of which a small stone changes color in the spectators hand. I will not give Bob's presentation here, but suffice it to say, makes perfect sense in the context of a larger routine. Any worker will want to immediately add this to their show. Readers of the Café, will recognize this stone effect as being "re-invented" and published by Jay Rosenberg in the Secret Sessions area. Although the "effect" is the same, the Cassidy methodology is much cleaner. The second bonus item, centered around a Chalice is an excellent utility device for the billet reader. Difficult to explain further without exposure. Best in Magic, Michael Sibbernsen |
