Slim, I really don't see how it could be possible to do it over the phone without a stooge there with the person. Maybe you could work it out with a certain type of presentation, but it would take a ton of thought and work in order to insure that the method not turn completely transparent.
By the time you were done it would be a whole new effect. The script would be massively changed. The only similarity would be the that you used equivoque. You could either start thinking on your own now or pick up E'voque for a bit of inspiration. I do heartily recommend it on it's own. When I saw Docc perform it, I felt that he was doing equivoque, but it was so smooth, so convincing, so straight forward that I thought something else could of been put to use. I've seen equivoque done wonderfully, but this was clearly the best. Then I saw him do it a few more times through out the night. Each time it was just as good. It didn't matter when the object was picked, it was always just as climatic, just as amazing. The best thing that I can say about the book E'voque is that it gives you everything to enable you to perform it just as amazing. |

When does a ?mentalist? begin to create their own effects without constantly looking for someone else's effects? We are given tools and principles. We should not want to be doing anything that resembles what someone else does. Let's ask Richard Osterlind whose effects he copies. You know the answer.
