I was asked last night to make the interlocking N & C logo for the Univ. of North Carolina. I tried and it turned out pretty good. Of course, the next table had to have the NC State logo. Not great but passable. Then, of course, EVERYONE had to have either the UNC, NC State or Duke logo. I shoulda listened to Santa. Smile

Last week I had my first request for a Hockey Stick. I aim to please, so I fully inflated a Cocoa Brown, put a 45° angle in it towards the end, and handed it to him. He seemed quite happy with it!

An hour later, I had my second request for a Hockey Stick!

A Platypus is a pretty common one for me. The wierd ones are things like chainsaws and the starship enterprise(NCC1701-A...I can't do C or D). Not too difficult thought.
I love doing hockey sticks! I usually put them on a hat, hanging down in the front and give them a round balloon to knock around. Makes for some serious havoc, but the kids have fun.
OK...Back to pretending I don't do balloons anymore.

Lacrosse is catching on here in Southern California and I was asked to make a Lacrosse stick. I was working a little league opening day and made more Lacrosse sticks and helmets than baseball stuff!

I was asked at an outdoor festival to make the logo for the U.S. Marines. You know, the globe, chain around it, anchor in the rear...took a few minutes of thinking (which I try to not do..I'm allergic)..but came up with something really nice!

Last weekend, I got my weirdest request ever. How about a sphinx? I didn't have a clue as to how to make one, so I settled for a lion. Would have loved to actually hand out a sphinx, though. Ideas are more than welcome Smile

Do things you give out and they want you to change count? If they do I was working a party and made a super soaker for a kid he took as a machine gun. So he comes back later and asks me to put a handle on the front end.

Family night, killing a few minutes betwixt tables, making a one-eyed monster from Bad to the Balloon. A lady comes rushing out of the bar.

"May I have that, please? It'll be perfect!"

"Certainly. Here you go."

"I just found out this afternoon that my husband's been cheating on me. I'm going to wear this when he starts in with the 'Oh honey, I...I...I...' Just perfect."

Another happy guest.

Got an idea the other day.

They have a pocket booklet, I am considering putting in my bag. 4"X5". It has an amazing amount of animals and fantasy creature within it. I got mine (FOR FREE) at a display rack at Michael's Craft Supply Store.

You might be able to request one on line.

A kiddo asked for a yellow schoolbus. I thought Mom looked very embarrassed at his request! I proceeded to build this yellow box, which the boy tell me it's a box and he wanted a school-bus. Argh!

The other odd request is for a horse - and after I made one, she insisted on hair on the horse :S

Is a horse really an odd request for you? I think it's pretty standard. And by "hair", was she referring to the mane on the neck? You're not just trying to pass off a long-legged dog as a horse, are you? Kids are too smart for that! Twist some little bubbles and put a mane on that bad boy! Lips help too (for the horse).

I had a client ask for a bridge for his colleague who was a bridge architect. It stumped me for a few moments, but then I made simple bridge hat. And everyone was happy.

Steve - maybe you could have made an Axolittle they are smaller and weirder than Axolotls!
