Mak used to offer a coin box that was similar to Ching Ling in that a half dollar could penetrate a piece of Plexiglas, although I believe a small mirror was used in this version. Does anyone know where I could find one of these? It had a Chinese character painted on the top.

I believe that was advertised as "bench made" and called Trap Door. U.F. Grant sold this, too, before the transistion to MAK.
Martin Breese has available a very limited number of his very attractive version called Chink Box. He features an original handling that will baffle those who know the standard method. The box itself is a beautiful combination of light and dark woods. Julie |

Thank you, Julie, for helping me remember the name of the effect. I believe you are right; it was called Trap Door.
