Perhaps a story of interest.
I give card magic lessons to a 7 year old boy. He is not bad, but everytime he makes a "dirty" move, he has the urge to say that nothing happend. The cutest thing so far was when he held a card in Tenkai grip, waved his hand around and kept saying "As you see, there is nothing in my hand . . ." (He uses one of the small, mini decks).

Andy,
Great story - and a point well made. We all do it - he is still in the stage where he is outwardly doing it, we feel guilty with a bit more finesse or subtlety. I am sure he will catch up with us soon (or maybe you can steer him away from this from the beginning - if it is possible). |
