Actually I googled Bob Wire and there is a band called Bobwire, also a fictious entry into an encyclopedia about how some people cannot pronounce Bob wire and actually call it Barb wire. LOL
Anyway, climb through it and get caught in it, better yet pray that it is not electrified, that adds insult to injury, but it could make a cool addition to the illusion. A big car battery attached to the frame sending off blue sparks! Good Grief!! Blair Marshall "ShaZzam!"

Some people have too much time on their hands....
But do love the batery idea... Now place a light bulb on it to prove that the wire has electric running through it....

I like this much better than a wall or mirror. And Id also add tons more wire.. probably use something less magical looking like an old wood frame to make it look ranch like. Gets old seeing everything black and chrome... to me that screams GIMMICKED MAGIC PROP.

I have built it and it works great. I also have plenty of barb wire on the frame as well.
My only debate is if it is truly believeble. Best Brandon

I was just wondering can this be done on a stage with out a back drop. cause this stage is in middle of a park. Just wondering. Not looking for the secret.

Has anyone electrified the barbed wire with a battery as noted above?
How easy (and particularly safe) of a process would this be?

P.S. Regardless of the above, might this illusion look better constructed from wood than PVC pipe? Has anyone done this?

Hmmm, that might actually work! Because I do happen to have one of the "Makin Sparks" from Sylvester the Jester. Another great idea.

Inner Chains, You can build this from wood, but it would be heavier. The idea behind it is to make it light, easy to build and break down for travel.
However, you could try painting the PVC pipes, so they don't look like PVC. Maybe metalic color to look like galvanized pipe, or tan to look like wooden poles. I'm just not sure how well PVC pipe holds paint...an then you have the potential of chipping while shipping. Just some thoughts.

Built the beast in wood with "electrified" barbed-wire.
Have performed it twice, and it has gone over well.

...with my military history now, Im telling you that barb wire just isn't that scary to me. But CONSTANTINO WIRE... man, that stuff will tear you apart...
Or take it a step further... just tie 35 Emperor Scorpions on strings to the two poles and I'll tell you what... people will squirm when you pass through that... Plus the the scorpions are going to be mighty P*ss*d that they are just dangling there so Im sure they will be squirming all over the place... ...NOW THAT SOUNDS LIKE DANGER TO ME!...
...for the 51st time... that is NOT my card...
