Aronson stack meets the ipod

http://www.vanornum.com/cards.zip

download the 52 .mp3 files that you can upload to your ipod.

things seem to work best with shuffle on "songs" and repeat on "all"

then select the album or the entire deck and you get an infinite loop of random cards and their stack equivalent number.

many thanks to mr. aronson for his wonderful stack!

I haven't been to the website but I don't think it's a trick. I think it's a way to drill yourself on the stack.

So what was in the MP3s? Was each MP3 just someone saying a card and the stack number?

That was my impression, yes. Although I don't know any more than you. The quizzers that exist are quite good, such as the one on Simon Aronson's web page.

Of course, the possibly best tool may still be a deck of playing cards and a marker pen.

Noob, I to think that is the best solution. You have the cards right there in front of you.

But that is a PC program, so then we are further away from the iPod topic. I know it's a great program. I just haven't ever been able to use it since I have two Mac's and an iPod Touch to use for such things.
