If it's half as good as Bright Ideas, I'm definitely getting MindPlay.

Thanks guys!
This should be out before the end of July. It has caught the eye of many top name Magicians, to name a few, John Bannon, Joshua Jay, Jon Racherbaumer and Peter Duffie. There are others who I am awaiting thoughts from, but I am more than happy with the response from this! Stay tuned guys! |

Ok, this is the princess card trick, with a kicker. Apparantly, accordingly to the knowledgeable guys out there, including Jon Racherbaumer and Jon Bannon, this is completely original to me. This idea has apparantly never seen print before or there is nothing close to being released.
Imagine a routine based around the modern obsession with Poker, yet the routine plays to people who have no idea about Poker as well!!! Imagine being able, to find four cards that are merely thought of, without any fishing of any kind! What is even better...there is a kicker ending which I will leave as a surprise, and best of all...this is self working, meaning ANY Magician can do this! Here is what some of the pros have had to say... "Christopher Williams has added a substantial ending to the famous poker presentation of the 'Princess Card Trick' that has fascinated the top magicians of all time. He provides all you need to add this entertaining trick to your working repertoire." - Jon Racherbaumer "This is well-constructed routine with a great finish. It's also sleightless, so one can concentrate on presenting the effect in the manner that it deserves." - Peter Duffie "Christopher Williams is a clever magician and his gambling routine is great, even for spectators who don't follow poker. A real worker!" - Joshua Jay "It's a fine trick with a lot to like about it" - John Bannon There is more to come...does that wet your appetite a little? |

It is coming soon! All text is done, and the art work has now been sent to me today which I am happy with. This should be out in about a month I hope. It isn't going to be a rushed project, as I put great detail into my work. However, so far I am on track to have it released for July. On 25th of July which is 99% confirmed now I am lecturing in Torquay, UK and I hope this to be launched there.
As this is my first major solo release (After Alakazam did my DVD), I am releasing it as limited edition 250 signed and numbered copies. This will only be available through me! |

Does it require a table, or can it be performed in a corporate walk-around situation?
|
Christopher Williams Inner circle Portsmouth, UK 4464 Posts |
No it does not require a table. This can be performed close up, cabaret, walk around etc, and the deck you use, can be shuffled and used for EVERY other card routine you use which requires a straight deck. This routine can also be used at ANY stage in your routine!

I hope this is what I think it is...last year I met Christopher at a convention and saw him perform an effect that completely fooled me and several other knowledgeable guys, I asked if he was releasing it or if it was commercially available, he said it was his own routine and he was planning to release but not for a little while, well that 'while' seems to have passed and finally I can get my hands on this!

Yes Jayp, it is that same effect you all saw
Mike, I will keep you, and everyone else updated on this! Taken a very small knock back in that one of the people helping it's development was rushed to hospital yesterday, hopefully they will be ok to continue after a speedy recovery! |

Ok, we are back on track for this! The text is in its final stages and the pictures are being added, we are working very hard to get this back on track after the minor set back.
As well, to make things easier rather than people who have emailed and PMed me, I am not taking pre-orders on this as I think taking pre-orders put a curse on some works, I will reserve copies for anyone who wants one, just email me at chris@magicman13.co.uk or PM me here on the Café Thanks Chris |

Christopher, when you say this is based on the princess card trick, which priness card trick do you mean? The one that uses a matrix, or the one where you apparently remove the spec's thought-of card from a packet of five?
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

MindPlay essentially uses the Marlo-Gardner poker deal with the old Matrix Principle which goes by many names, including, the most well known and the name I give, the Princess Card trick
