Topas, just brilliant. I love his little happy man dance!

Florian is not the type of guy to rip off someones act. We have had many conversations about his act...the amount of little details that go into it are not those of a plagiarist! And then have the cheek to do it at major conventions including fism! I doubt it. I find it very hard to believe it is a rip off. Similar is a possibility.

Hello all, nice to see that my act is causing such a lively discussion. Maybe I can clear a few things up with this my first post....
Yes, I still perform my act with spray paint and sunglasses. I have done so since the early 90s, over 15 years. I won several magic competitions and awards with my act back in my competition days. I performed at Fism 2000 in Portugal. I now perform regularly here in Vegas in the Worlds Greatest Magic Show.
Topas and I are good friends; but I do not know Florian. I just watched his act on YouTube, which is a clip of him performing on Patrick Sebastian's Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde from French TV. I performed on the show with my act several years ago, and the show does air throughout Europe. Although I would say the cap vanish at the beginning and the splat silk are very similar to mine, the rest of the act is his own twist on things but he seems heavily influenced by Topas. I had many of the same ideas when I created my act but I decided I did not want a "spray paint" act per se and to just use it in one segment. Nick Night used spray paint in his act but I was the first to use it "magically" so to speak and not just as a prop. Nick inspired me, hopefully I inspired Florian, and he has taken it and ran, creating his own style. That deserves credit because many others have not and just rip people off.

As for Howard, you rock! Yes he helped me build my act, taught me alot, and is practically a walking library. He knows his sh**. A lil' nuts maybe, but hey we all are.

If you thought you invented the lightbulb today, you didn't invent it, you merely came up with the same idea someone else did and should have done more research into your idea. Hence the reason they have patent searches at the patent office so you can't take credit for inventing something that already exists.

OK I wrote a novel...I'm going now.
