Which one plays better to audience? Which has more magical moments?
From looking at videos on the net, it seems to me the Mini Kube Zag seems to have more magical moments and audience appeal than the KK. How about practicality, which is easier to transport and setup? |

Taking into account, the number of beats and the overall visual, my choice would be Mini Kube Zag.

It really is a matter of personal preference and how you perform it. I have seen both performed by good friends of my wife and I and you really can not go wrong with either. I will say that Kunundrum Kube is amazingly deceptive and has not been seen as much as mini-Kube Zag.

I prefer the KK. If done it packssmall andplays big. I have gotten standing ovations everytime I used it. It is simple but very stunning. The kube zag is great but by doing more are you giving the audience time to figure it out? Everytime I have performed it the question is always, where did she go. I like both but my vote is for the KK.

Yeah. The KK has always impressed me. I had not seen it performed much and it really is a striking and visual illusion.

My vote goes for KK. Bottom line... it is extremely deceptive. Another nice thing about it is that it has a built in surprise. Most people beleive the assistant is in the top half, and then BAM, it's folded flat and she is really gone! Throw in the rod that goes through the box, and you have a top notch illusion. I think that a Cube Zag is good, but the KK is fresh, unbelieveably deceptive, and won't take 3 years to get made. So that's my opinion. Good luck.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with either one. Another version to look at would be Jam. Choosing any of those three would be a good addition to most shows. They are quite possibly the best fully surrounded illusions you can perform.

What you get with a Konundrum Kube is an illusion which is about 80% powder coated aluminum [not wood]AND an ATA case included in the price. That's very hard to beat. I will let the buyers tell the rest.

Dan,
I offer my sincere apology for my comments about the lead time. I am a big fan of Chalet Magic, and for a while I was quite disappointed by the stories I was hearing. I am glad you are getting things out so quickly. Best of luck. -Beau Alexander

I have to agree with Kevin of Living Illusions. You can't go wrong with either the MKZ or the KK. Both Jack Murray and Dan Wolfe are very customer oriented, talented craftsmen, and you will get a great prop from either of them. Unfortunately, these threads end up being debates over which is best: the PC or the Mac? Both computer owners will argue vehemently that theirs is the best.
I feel sorry for whoever has to chose between them, as it isn't an easy decision to make! Fortunately, in this case which ever one you decide on will be a great trick! My 2¢ Chris |

Kevin,
How is your tour going? Hope you are having a fun time. All, I feel that all the illusions mentioned in this thread are real foolers. All can be done completely surrounded when performed, but my 12 yr old son and 13 yr old daughter performed the KK for a talent show for their school and each night of the show the audience went crazy. I use to perform the KK and the ZZ together and I saw the difference first hand in the audiences reaction. They were amazed by the KK and very unamazed at the ZZ. I guess that it is a personal choice as too which one to perform. The KK is my middle of my show illusion so it is what I use to get the audiences attention. Patrick |

I'm with Kyle on this one. I think both are very good but I lean toward the KK.

Kub Zag is a more deceptive illusion.

I think the KK and the MKZ are both extremely deceptive illusions. They both have a variety of great features, and in a good performers hands both have the ability to mystify audiences.
