I think I've mentioned before in another thread, a lovely DVD called "Trickery" by David Forrest. In it he does a really nice entire deck production from an ungimmicked wallet. Its not a routine as such, just a nice way to do a magical production of a deck you are a bout to use. I got to thinking that with a basic palm you could adapt that to do a sleight of hand version of card from wallet.

Interesting about the different concepts behind card to wallet effects. As of now I only understand a little of it, but I'm sure it will all make a lot more sense to me in a few weeks.
After reading about wallets and effects based around them for days, I was still too confused to understand what most of it is about. So I finally just ordered a Triple Threat Wallet based on the subjective opinions of hundreds of café users and my impression of which of them might be doing the kind of things that I want. It seems to belong to the Mullica family tree. Since I'm always worried that people (friends especially) might think me a jerk if they catch me with some specialized prop I have bought in order to "play magician" I initially decided that envelopes were better. More low tech. But I kept going back to reading about wallets and after a while I changed my mind about it. I now think that a wallet is a fairly natural object to have in your pocket, whereas a stack of alien looking imported envelop is not. As long as the wallet is also my regular wallet. In any case I actually gave up on finding nice small coin envelopes of the right type and perfect size from online from a vendor that ships internationally. Finding info on wallets is a lot easier, albeit somewhat overwhelming. I'm sure I will get better at adapting things to my own conditions eventually and hopefully come up with original handlings based on the basic card to wallet principles. But for now I need to have something with step by step instructions in order to understand it all. I will make a note of that DVD title, tony2514. Thank you guys!

Ok, I know this will be a dumb question, so here it is: Is this card to wallet anything close to the effect that is in Mark Wilson's book? Thanks in advance,

As Brad mentioned The Card To Wallet book is a great resource. There are everyday wallets that work as card to wallet wallets available at Wal-Mart. They come from the factory with the ability to be secretly loaded. I used one of these for many years. The Card To Wallet book tells you all about them. I switched to Steve Drauns Real Mans Wallet which I have slightly altered to make quicker and more direct. I use it here in my ACR routine.

Jonathan, that was possibly the best AC routine I have seen. Ever! That little swing cut was beautifully convincing! I need to take out my old ACR elements notes and start building myself a stronger routine. With a wallet!

Missed that comment the first time I watched it.

Jonathan's rotuine had 3 great audience moments ( I'm sure more I didn't catch ).
1) One gal is so amazed she asks him "Do you see dead people?" ( Bruce Willis fans will get this ) 2) Gal says " I can't figure it out" 3) Jonathan removes the card from the wallet and the fellow says " Oh wow". Too cool!!!

I've never seen "Flip's move" before this. I want to shamelessly steal it but it's difficult for me to make it out well in a YouTube video because they play like advanced slide shows on my computer. Is it even possible to do a regular swing cut of one single card without a break? Hmmm. There has to be one I think.
My biggest question mark about this video is wallet related. I ordered a wallet 2 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived yet (FedEx. Sigh). Hopefully the included information will clear some of this up. Anyway... yes, this is a perfect ACroutine. One of the reasons for this is that it isn't too long. It's just right in every way.

Peter Scarlett's Pimpernell Notecase gets my vote. There's no palming involved. Infact, you can easily load while the specs burn your hands and they won't even notice a thing. Easy to do so all you need to concentrate on is your presentation.

I finally got my Triple Threat today (they took no less than a MONTH to ship it!!!).
I remember reading about a forum thread somewhere outside of here which had a free card to wallet trick for Triple Threat owners. But now I can't find it even though I have searched and reread a TON of threads here. It was something everyone were very enthusiastic about, behind a password protected thread. I didn't bookmark it because I assumed that the wallet would come with a link/password. But there was nothing. Can anybody help me with this? I am at least fairly certain that the effect in question was for this wallet. After waiting so long I would love to get something right away instead of having to wait additional weeks for a book or DVD (which I will probably get as well after having read some more on what I should choose).

Iam using a JOL Plus wallet for my acr climax.
The signed card ends up in the sealed envelope inside of the zipper compartment of the wallet.People freak out when they open up the envelope and find their signed card inside. Back in the past I used the Shulien move (like card from box) for my regular wallet. It fooled the people too,but the sealed envelope makes the whole thing so much impossible for the laymen. @Kamm Your ACR is great!I really like it. |

The previously mentioned forum especially for TT wallet users (with free effect( appears to be here: http://forum.secretcenter.info/open/
Suddenly I see these JOL wallets mentioned everywhere now. Why didn't I notice those before? The "JOL Billfold or Hip Wallet" looks very delicious.
