What is the name of the Café/club in Paris (France) that Cyril Takayam performed in? Is this an exclusive performance place? It seems that all shows performed there are aired in the French TV, is it true?
I understand that the Café/club/restaurant is also owned by a magician. Anyone knows who he is? Does he also perform professionally? Your thoughts are deeply appreciated. Thanks! |

This may not be the same place you are speaking of, but I know of one magic performance night club/cafe in Paris, "Le Double Fond", owned by Dominique Duvivier. He also owns the magic shop, "Mayette Magie Moderne". I saw a really good show at Le Double Fond (The Double Bottom) when I was working the Paris Airshow several years ago. At that time, there were many photos there of very recognizable magicians, who had either performed, lectured, or visited there.
The Crazy Horse has also featured many top magicians. Perhaps someone more familiar with the city than I am can name others. ~michael

Hi !
There is no show with Cyril on the french TV... There are two great places in Paris : * "le double fond" : Dominique Duvivier is the owner and you can watch shows from a variety of performers http://www.doublefond.com/ * "le musée de la magie" : George Proust is the owner http://www.museedelamagie.com/ |

Is there a website for the Crazy Horse? Where is it located in France? Is the owner a magician?

Otto Wessely and Gaetan Bloom work the Crazy Horse all the time, taking turns. It is basically a naked exotic dance club and puts magic and novelty acts in for a change of pace. It has a tiny, tiny stage, but it works. Tom Mullica worked it for a season, but hated France and came home as fast as he could.

I think it is a studio setting or a nightclub used for variety shows, not any of those mentioned above.

I believe it is a TV studio used for filming a very popular french TV show called "Le Plus Grande Cabaret Du Monde"
Many magicians have performed their acts on this show. Search you tube and you will find plenty of suberd manip' acts recorded here. Thanks Ben |

Hi !
After some researchs, you were right, I found a Tv appearance of Cyril on the french TV show "le plus grand cabaret du monde" !!! It's a Tv show you can watch once a month in France with a lot of variety acts from all around the world... At the "crazy horse" in Paris, we had the chance to watch some acts such as Kevin James, Gaetan Bloom, Otto Wessely, Vic & Fabrini, Tom Mullica, the Balckwitts, Elan, Nestor Hato...It's the same show you can watch at the MGM grand in Vegas but with the magician Stephane Vanel ! regards allan |
