I just came across this video on Youtube of Juliana Chin (I hope I spelled that right). Anyway, I thought this was a perfect performance of it!

Thought I'd share it with the magi's on here...

Enjoy!

That was awful.
*shakes head*

I've seen better by her.

plus, she bowed her butt to the audience.
how rude!

This one left me cold. It wasn't god awful or anything, but it didn't inspire me.

I wasn't too terribly thrilled with that performance of bow-staff. A friend of mine, Brad Ross, uses one in his show. There is a good video of it in his demo video.

I like her routine. I found it more interesting that the video provider chose not to mention her by name. The key words for the video are: magic magician Copperfield jeff McBride las vegs talent entertainment amazing chen , with Chen being the last word. I find that both interesting and puzzling.

Brad's video is also very good.

It's ok, not Juliana at her best. She is a very professional and very competent illusionist / magician. I think this particular routine drug on a bit too long, there was no real reason for producing the girl at the end, and I agree with Mai-ling that she shouldn't have bowed her rear end to the audience at the end. But none of us are perfect in all of our routines. The video does not do justice to the routine as it has close-ups, cut aways, etc. The whole coreography of the routine was developed to be viewed by an audience looking a the full stage. The close ups , cut ins and outs distract from that, you miss things.

Topaz did this illusion at the SAM slute to magic in NY this year. I thought that it was OK, but the audience LOVED it! So go figure!

I think the production of the second woman from the box completely killed the effect of the appearance on the stage right.

Is it just me, or id she not telegraphing whose hands those were?

Chris, maybe she tlegraphed because she seemed a bit aprehensive when climibing into the box? Seems like she paused a bit too long or something.

I agree with other's comments about this not being her usual self. I've seen her in a couple other videos etc and she was very good and I liked what I saw. Her card manipulations are terrific. This particualar presentation just didn't do it for me.

I watched it like a show producer would. After 220 I finally turned it off...
It bored me to death.. I watched it with the music down because my wife is watching tv.. It moved so slow I wanted to cut my wrist...

at 220 she still hadn't vanished.. Maybe I missed the best part, but I couldn't stand another second...
Sorry to be so brutal, but that is what an agent would say also..
because they are not all wrapped up in the fact that it's a good Illusion that we call the Bo-staff..

just my opinion..

If this gets work, then I need to call Roy Shank and place my order.
