If looking for something and I can't find it on the creators website I go to Denny. If you are ever looking for anything the best magic shop I can recommend, and mind you I run a shop, is Denny and Lee's Magic shop. http://www.dennymagic.com, Other than the fact that he has allot of great stuff, the man knows what to recommend and he is extremely helpfull. If I ever can't find something I call Denny. If you can get yourself to Essex Maryland, near Baltimore, his shop there is a Gem. I will always say, support the people who origionated the effect you are searching for, and support the brick and morter shops. This is a small community, and the more support the professionals give to shops who are corperate minded the more detramental to the art.

If you want props and effects that very few performers have, and are willing to spend the money, here are a couple of great sites:

I have purchased from Jim and been 100% satisfied. Jim does work hard at keeping his name in front of you...it is called marketing.
This looks personal between DJM and Jim who have ongoing disagreements on other threads. Thanks to this "friendly advice" I'm sure Jim's name will stay out there. It reminds me of when I didn't like Ian Rowland's "Full Facts of Cold Reading" and went on about that for several posts. I bet I sold many books for him. Perhaps others who have actually purchased from Jim could chime in about their experiences. |

Mota, it's not about the quality of the product, I'm sure it's good.
But when some new members would read Jim's posts, it would make him seem like some egomaniac who likes to hype himself all the time and anywhere. And that would make them stay away from the product. There are many ways to market yourself even without making yourself seem so arrogant. So yes, it was an advice. |

Lol - just noticed this post.
Only one item can be bought from this site but it's a very good item and quality's more important than quantity, right kids? http://www.letyourmindwonder.blogspot.com |

Mota,
Thanks for the post. DJM's posts are interesting to me. Not sure why he has such an interest in me and my work. If having pride and confidence in ones work & self, is arrogance I guess his observation is accurate. Best Wishes, Jim Recently these posts concerning the quality and value of my work were offered at the bottom of this page. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......start=30 Is it arrogance to agree with others assessment of your work? Becouse I do.

Jim, usuaully when things are being overhyped then it can get to the point that people will get sick of that eventually. I see that you try to publish your website and pat yourself on back every chance that you can, which is something that I don't notice with other people around here.
Just trying to help you by saying that sometimes too much is not always a good thing. |

Speaking of self promotion, I just posted my first video on myspace. It is a combination promo/commercial and music video. Listen for that guy on the violin.
