It is LOADED (and I do mean loaded) with great interviews (Paul Harris, Harry Lorayne, John Lovick, etc.), tricks (Dan Tong, Paul Potassy, John Lovick), tips (Garrett Thomas), reviews of product (Wayne Kawamoto and David Regal - you get to SEE items/clips of items discussed), video ads, etc. all for $10/issue. This should be an absolute NO brainer for you to purchase. It is wonderful in production, contents, historical info (from the interviews... including RARE footage of Vlado - the creator of the bill switch). The Paul Harris interview alone is worth many many times the price of admission as Paul touches on lots of interesting and some possibly controversial subjects (REALLY listen and think about what Paul says). I know issue two and three are already well under way with some superb surprises. I truly believe Reel Magic DVD Magazine will become a staple publication that you will want every issue of. Are the tricks not published before, or are they previously published? I have the DVDs by Dan Tong, Paul Potassy, and Garrett Thomas, an the Switch book already. Interviews and reviews is of cource interesting. DVD Magazine a good idea. But if it is just "reprints" of old stuff....Then I do'nt know.

The potassy bill to potato is from his set, the chop cup is from the finally set, and the switch is out of john lovicks book....

garretts column is new and never been talked about before....

the lorayne interview is all new

the paul Harris interview is the first interview on video in 10 years...

I just started "watching" the first issue of Reel Magic. Well, first off, it's like I'm watching a "live" magazine. It's like I'm turning pages of a magazine. Does that make sense? The production is beautiful. First rate work again from Kozmo magic ( they have raised the bar in DVD production ).

OK, above I said I'd pay $50 for this. Was that a dumb thing to say considering I hadn't seen one issue yet? Maybe, but after starting to watch this, I stand by that statement.

Frist Thoughts:
John Lovick talks about his bill switch book, SWITCH - Unfolding The $100 Bill Change. John then performs his personal favorite bill swtich.

OK, I love the bill switch. I'm watching carefully. BAM-he got me. I'm not going to ruin it for folks that haven't seen it because I want you to have the same amazement I had watching it.

All I can say is-WOW. I would have paid just for this one effect ( John also teaches it ).

This is now my Bill Switch. I don't easily stop a handling I've done for many years, but this is so clean. And...it's EASY to do.

In my opinion this represents one of the best value items to ever hit the Magical Market Place! There are tricks, reviews, adverts (like on the telly, but ALL magic related!!) There's interviews, firstly with Harry Lorayne, which I found really interesting (what a nice guy he is!) & then a very interesting interview with the one & only Paul Harris, (his first filmed interview for ten years!) So if you need a "Magic Fix" then This has to be it!

Many single items could be singled out as worth the price of admission!

I'm having such great time "thumbing through" this DVD. I can't help it, it's like a living magazine and I thumb through magazines. There are ads, interviews, and all the elements of a great magaizine.

David Regal showcases some marketted effects in a segemnt called "tricks of the trade" and he is, as usual, very funny.

Garrett Thomas ( did he lose weight? ) has a wondereful segemnt called "try this at home". I think it is the best lesson on the fake take I've ever seen.

btw, I came across this site called Abrapocus DVD Magic Mag http://www.abracapocusdvd.com, it sounds something like Reel Magic but no one talks about it, is it still on going or stopped? Any comments?

Very well done and a lot of fun to watch. Well worth the money. I highly recommend it.

Just got it today in the mail, sat down to have a quick peek and watched it all the way through with several stops to go, "Honey, check this out!". Very well done and the only quibble I had was the few minor authoring glitches that will show as very, very brief artifacts, do nothing to subtract from the information within, and tedb has already addressed as something they're looking into.

Face it, in a niche market where .pdfs go for astonishingly stupid prices, this is a breath of fresh air.

Got my copy yesterday and I've only had time to watch about half of it. I already subscribe to the other DVD mags that I know of (Enigma and Abracapocus) and I must say that this is so far out of their league that it wouldn't even be fair to attempt a comparison (though I will say that Enigma is a product quite worthy of attention [wish I could say the same for the joke that is Abracapocus --save your money on that one, folks!!]).

Kozmo has re-invented the video magazine and created an introductory issue that not only whets my appetite, but makes me wonder how the heck he intends to keep up with (let alone potentially outdo) what he has now laid the groundwork for with the introductory issue. His reputation and history of excellence ("Slydini - As I Recall," "LIVE At The Jailhouse," etc...) convinced me to subscribe (rather than purchase individual "issues") from the get go, and I am extremely satisfied with the material viewed so far.

All I can say is, "WELL DONE!!" You touched on two of my all-time heroes (Harris and Lorayne) right off the bat. I can't wait to see where you take us from here (but I'd settle for a teaser of upcoming material, if you feel up to giving us a hint... ).
