Would like to discuss a few ideas. Id like to build a prediction routine where the prediction is sealed in an envelope inside a box that's been hanging the entire show. Yes I know they are out there for sale, but the prices can get high. I have a couple simple ideas and would like more info to gimmicks that I can use myself and build.
Been buying really nice boxes and trunks at a store called Ross, locally. One box is so nice in my mind that id like to incorporate it with a prediction. Just pm me if you care to discuss or help... anybody else, let me know if you know and books or manuscripts using this principle in any way. Thanks all... |

I think it is amazing, how many of us collect these nice little boxes - with a yet to be determined effect in mind.

I know I sound like a broken record... but the Mind and Magic of David Berglas has a wonderful big publicity stunt version.

I'd heartily recommend Devin Knights/Al Manns clear box manuscript.
The effect itself is simple to execute, but Knight's tips and notes on setting it up, getting signatories for verification and the psychology of the whole 'stunt' rather than 'trick' are superb. I've finished my stage act with this more than anything else, and it's a something that keeps the public talking for weeks to come.

Ah I know what you mean.
I've seen something for shooting cards up into things - like soft fresh fruit (!) - using some kind of compressed air. Never had the chance to play with one, and seemed possibly dangerous to me! And I take your point about prices for such things...

Sorry Doc...
Post got deleted because I went into detail of my props workings. But do appreciate your thoughts. Anyway, Al Manns manuscript is good, but I'm looking more for a malloy type idea where the box is unhung, placed on table, opened, envelope removed. Not wanting toc copy malloys method or prop, but I like a certain box I have and want to use it in that manner. Ive got a great prop working, so feel free to pm me. Was hoping for some more ideas on loading a box with prediction. |

The Malloy Master Prediction System is a little pricey, but good. You will need an assistant also. http://www.malloymodernmagic.com/master_prediction.htm
