Just wanted to find out who is excited and who is stillplanning on going. I always have a great time at the convention and can not believe it is literally days away and not months. I always get the chance to meet old friends and make new ones. Sharing magic in the lobby at all hours is always a great time. I am also greatful to be asked to lecture and be a part of a session this year and so grateful for the opportunity to do so.

So who all is going?
What afre you looking forward to the most?
What do you love about the SAM Convention?

Look foward to meeting you all in Dallas.

Hello Kyle and Photius,
Sterling here. I leave for Reno Monday for IBM. I get home on the 2nd and jump back on the plane that night to SAM. I have been working hard on new routines and performing steadily. Schools out and the summer is booked solid with shows and conventions. I look forward to seeing you both, the convention will be great! Kyle if you find room in your suit case, throw in those new billiard balls. I would love to see them. And Photius, what can I say but thankyou for your always upbeat and encouragement of all magicians. Take care my friends,
Sterling

Presbytera and I are driving out of El Paso at Dark-thirty on Monday will get into Dallas sometime Monday Evening. Got to make a run to see her folks up in Paris on Tuesday will be back at the hotel sometime Tue. Night for the Wed start. I'm there for the whole convention, initially thought I was going to have to leave Sat. Morning early, but I'm staying in Dallas for Church business on Tuesday following the convention. Sterling looking forward to ur performance, it is always a great one. My ugly face is easy to spot Kyle, and I am pretty easy to find wearing that collar, esp. considering I'm 6'4". Be sure and hunt the rest of us up David, don't be shy, just walk up and say hello.

Sterling: Have fun at IBM and I look forward to meeting you again at SAM Dallas. It will be a blast meeting and talking with you again. You are an amazing creative thinker and a bright young man. I commend you in all that you have done so far and hwo you conduct yourself. I really respect that and I wish you all the vesy best if success. I hope that you will get a chance to sit in on part of my session/lecture in Friday morning called Curtain call. I will be 1 of 3 presnters talking about creativity and performance in the art of magic. I am hoping I do well and that people will enjoy what we have to taklk about. it is not lectured on enough and I would love to have you in the audience if you can make it. I will try and reember to place those silver metal balls in my luggage if I can. my pleasure.

Are you competiting Sterling?

David: This will be a convention experience you will never forget. It tends to go fast so sit back and relax one night and just take it all in my friend. =) I always work back stage for the Stars of Tomorrow show to help Hope Anderson and the rest run the show. I will be back there at tech rehearsal and to help you in any way that I can. It will be a pleasure to meet you in person and watch you perform in the show. Thanks again for sending in your tape and for perfomring in the stars show. It is a great experience you will really enjoy. bring a marker or pemn because you will get asked for autographs and such. =)

Photius: I am not too hard to spot either. Just look for my charming and lovely wife Kelly. I will be minus my red jacket, but I am easy to spot. Kelly and I will be flying in and arriving in Dallas at 2:15 on Tuesday. We should be at the hiotel around 3;00 and such. I will be looking for you. If you see me in the hallway, please stop me and say hello. It will be a pleasure to finally meet you in person and shake your hand my friend.

I can not believe the convention is almost here. It is going to be a fun time and I just hope I get the chance to meet many of you.

I personally don't know how much longer I can wait! This is going to be a great one. A good time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. I'll be there. "Cards in Hand" and it shouldn't be too hard to spot my wheelchair either. (Ha!) Looking foward to it and am always up for a card session anytime. Day or night.(HA HA!)

Justin: I look forward to meeting you and sharing some magic and stories. It will be a pleasure. am not that hard to find. I am running aroiund all over the place and just ask most anyone where Kyle Peron is and they should point the way. hehe

It is indeed going to be a great one. I get to become a life member of the SAM this year and I am so very grateful to be a part of a 3 person session/lecture called Curtain Call to be held on Friday morning. The 3 of us will be talking on creativity and performance in the art of rmagic. I hope you might attend if you are not doing anything else. It would be great having you in the audience. It is our hope to open some eyes by talking about a subject many do not talk enough about.

Any ways, I look forward to meeting you. I am certainly counting down the days with you.

Kyle, I'll be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I'll be at Reno from Wednesday through Saturday and fly back sunday afternoon in time to get on the road monday morning on our tour to Dallas.

I say tour because there are 10 of us driving out and it should be a great fun trip.

Looking forward to the two special sessions with you Kyle.

See everyone there

I'm looking forward to Maria's presidency, she has already started off with a bang as pres-elect. Be great to see her face to face. This is going to be a great convention. But then , being in Texas, how could it be anything else?

I will be there in Dallas. But I will show up late though. I have to perform in a 4th of July parade that morning in the morning in a small city south of San Antonio. And then it should take me about 5 hours to get up there.

I am excited about it, and I really hope I can make it to the close up competition at 5pm. I can't wait to watch it.

In case you haven't been following the Texas weather the last week or so, you out of town folks might consider packing a rubber raft, wader boots and a USCG approved flotation device for ur trip to Dallas. It is projected to keep raining through the convention period as of the latest 10 day forecast. Doubt the Trinity is about to overflow its banks, but there are some creeks in Dallas prone to flood. Just a word of caution, drainage isn't extremely good in some parts of Dallas, esp. Downtown, so if a thundershower comes up, wait til it's over to drive around town. Streets in Texas are well know for becoming navigable rivers during rain storms. At least pack an umbrella.

Oh wells. no rain is going to stop this magician from coming there and having the time of his life with new friends and old friends. It can rain all it wants but I am going to have a great and fun time sharing and talking magic with all of you. I look forward to meeting you all and hope that my lecture/session with Maria Ibanez and Tony Brook will be of interest to some of you. See you all there.
