I couldn't believe I saw this on youtube. This was obviously filmed on a TV show and is a rip off from David Copperfield's Laser illusion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1zfKtTFrcA I wonder what he'd say if he saw this!! |

And here is a Pendragon's rip-off. The Laser Illusion guy didn't even bother using a different coloured shirt than David. Having said that though, this guy has performed it better than all the other rip-offs I've seen. |

Both were performed reasonably well. Both have probably had their 5 minutes of fame.
There certainly has been a proliferation of people doing the Laser Sawing lately... Chris |

The Pendragons version is still faster & they can show the back on their sub trunk ...
This guy (Hugo Valenzuela ) has a lot of original stuff so it's beyond me why he copies the Pendragons.(and yes matthew, it's a 'ripp of' : simular design on trunk, same routine, same cloth handling,...) He will perform his ufo act at the sam convention next week. Which won him 2th place illusions at the last FISM. |

No, it is not a rip-off, the guy cut in half doesn't wear Prada shoes like DC, so it is really different...
Can't believe he also used the same kind of music David used in the 90's ! |

The same show, but an awful performance of the interlude. It can´t be performed more obvious...

Ok, the laser beginning looked pretty cheesy! Standing there shaking your hands while being cut and half hahah. The rest of it didn't look too bad though.

The whole thing is called showmatch, maybe they are supposed to be copying other people?

I thougth the Lazer was nice.... Considering most likely it is home made.... The goofy face he made could have been a time killer... It seemed like he was waiting for the guy to bring back the curtain.....

Okay the interlude....
I loved the red scarf effect..... very nice touch.... I thought the interlude was pretty nice.... Just wish they did not make the box so long in the back..... But the way they designed the arm area was a bit clever to hide the "twist" if one is not using the fk lg method..... Or just not good at it... .Plus the front area could have been a bit smaller.... my two or three cents today .....
