Those of you who know Eric, know he is one very smart person who not only has a wealth of information, but has shared that knowledge with many performers over the years.
I remember reading his name in his column in The Magic Menu and also reading his great tips and contributions to the EG for MANY years. Well, Eric recently sat down to talk to Pepka and I on The Magic Lantern. He covers many topics, but two themes he kept returning to were very strong ones. One was why the classics are such powerful pieces of magic. And the other theme he discussed was how to grow your business. Let me know what you think of the interview: http://www.reelsinmotion.tv/magiclantern013 Enjoy the show, then please visit his site, The Wand, as you listen. His book, "TIPS: Real-World Ideas from a Working Magician," is available on his site and if you don't have it, I'd highly recommend it. It is a great resource for a working pro. Scott |

I totally agree. I have known Scott for a long time as a close friend and also as an innovator. His video services and his willingness to share information is second to none.
I applaud him for doing what he is doing here. This information is so valuable and can really help any magician to grow in the art of magic. Kyle

You are both too kind. I appreciate that very much.
It is always a blast to have the opportunity to sit and talk with our guests. They all have such a wealth of knowledge gained over their years performing and I learn so much from them. Eric, for example, has had such a diverse background that he is able to cover a wide range of topics with such depth. Although, you haven't seen anything yet. We're still expanding. There will be more video footage soon and a few bonuses. For example, Steve Dusheck, after receiving so many positive comments from his appearance, has decided to give even more. He's decided to give away one of his tricks for free as a download on our site. I'll have more info about that after we finalize the details. But thank you again and I hope you learn a few things! Love the stuff. I'm interested in hearing back-issues. Is there any way to improve the quality of the audio for the interview? Maybe it's my way-out-o-date desktop, but it was a little hard on the ears. Regardless, great stuff. I'm a loyal listener. |

Hey Troy and Fredrik!
Thanks for the comments. The last show (with Eric Henning) was a little hard to hear due to a bandwidth issue I was having with my cable provider (the interview was done over Skype). For some reason I was only getting 200kb/sec. We switched to DSL and are getting about 3Mb/sec now. So all future episodes will be much better. Speaking of which, we should have the next one up over the weekend. Enjoy the back issues! Scott |
