While running the risk of this turning into a thread that Cliff Clavin would die for, I was just curious what we all learned today.
Today I found out that the human body has about 5 litres of blood. I also realized if you leave a deli style sandwich in the fridge at work for over a week the office secretary gets mad. Liquid B |

Today I learned that you have to be careful at the public library.
I also re-learned that you should make plans in advance. Jonathan

On the subject of making your day - here's something from another site I saw today.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Imagine. . . There is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of course!!! Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow." You must live in the present, on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success! The clock is running. Make the most of today. To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade. To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet. To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train. To realize the value of ONE-SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident. To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics. Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. And remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!!! |

What I learned today....if I oversleep, the amount of time I have overslept is directly proportional to how difficult it is to get my kids up and ready for school.

I learned that BBQ sauce and chocolate chip cookies don't mix very well.

Hmmm, sounds great... but...
Did you try a blender? Add a bit of garlic and some corriander and then marinate steak in it for 4 hours. P.S. this doesn't taste any good either. I was just wondering if you tried it!

Today I learned even though I have always said TIME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY-you can get more money with time but not more time with money, you can appreciate time more after DMC's thoughts...
Thanks DMC |

Chris-I hadn't until you posted that question. I tried it and neither the steak, the soggy bits of cookies, or the bbq sauce tasted like anything I would eat in a million years.

I learned today that if you cut yourself using a knife while cooking, don't try to put salt on anything immediately afterward.
Salt+bleeding wound=OUCH!
