Chad, do you have any new work on this brilliant effect?

Unfortunately, I don't have anything new on it to offer you, as I've been doing it the same way for years. I've toyed with lots of other endings (wallet, shoe, etc), but have decided that the way it is now works best for me. Thanks again, and take care! Chad |

Hi Chad,
Went to your website which has your videos & notes and their respective contents, but I could not find "Now look here" May I ask where is it found? or basic description of the effect? |

Hi Chad, what is your standard way of getting into it? Do you just keep the three Now look here cards in a pocket and palm them in? Do you open with it? Thanks.

Very fond memories on this yes! First Magic magazine I ever bought had a description of this effect by Mike close. I immediately bought it.
It became particularly handy when I worked a season in a VERY noisy loungeclub. Somehow slipped out of my repertoire untill I saw you live in Holland about 4 years ago. It immediately went in again and has staid there! I use it currently in combination with the Kennedy box..."Look in the Box!" Off-topic...Man I remember you pulling the card out of the wall. I could not believe that was not done with some weird gimmick. One of my most magical memories!!!

Doc Eason later marketed the trick for me and called it "Now Look Here!", making me an instant multi-hundredaire. Doc added a really easy handling to the effect and Scotty York gave us a great handling, as well. In fact, I use Scotty's handling almost all the time now. It comes with the pre-printed cards and instruction booklet for $10 + shipping. PM me, if you're interested. By the way, the method in the notes is a great way to work on your top-change, if you don't already do one. Take care... Chad |

The only regret I have about Holland is trying to do a comedy act in your native language! At least I'll always know how to say 'My name is Chad Long and I'm pregnant' in Dutch! Oh, and I wish the "cards from the wall" used a weird gimmick. It would be a heck of a lot easier to do! Thanks again Dan for all the nice words, and take care. I hope to see you again one day, and I promise to perform in English! LOL! Sincerely, Chad |

Chad,
If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t ‘Now Look Here’ taught in a Doc Eason video? Or was it Scotty York? Might have been J.C. Wagner. I know it’s NOT in ‘Magic for Dummies’ Anyway, I recommend it to anyone wanting to gain confidence using the top change. It’s fun to perform and audiences really like it. Thanks for all you’ve shared with the magic community, and for a very enjoyable guest appearance!! (I was kind of hoping you could answer that “meaning of life” question though) Steve |

Chad... nice to see you in here.. and answering questions...
Coupla things.. I don't believe that any of the above mentioned folks have explained it on a tape... it wasn't on any of mine. It was more like a 'thousandaire' ... valuable lessons learned all around.. every trick is not a "Cardtoon", that's for sure. I remember the first time you showed this to me. I felt like my head was on a string, being yanked from side to side and you were in complete control. I loved the feeling. it is a brilliant trick! Hope all is ok with you .. recently spoke with David Harris and we smiled warmly as we spoke about you. Doc
