Loco's version is very good. You can learn it from the DVD comes with July issue of GENII.
Though, I don't use his last phase in which he shows 3 red backed and 3 blue backed. Hideo Kato |

Joeybaron,
Check out my "Predict-A-Wave" from my ebook "The King Has Left the Building..." I think it's a novel variation of 8 card brainwave. Thanks Jeff Pierce

I would agree with both Kato-san and Jeff. The Rocco version is a good one and Jeff's is even better (IMO). I should add that Jeff's book, in general, is quite good!

For young children I ask if they can tell which card is different after showing that they are all number cards. They are always right and thus "win".
For adults, I often do it after B'wave if someone says it was only a 1/4 chance, so we increase the odds to 1/8. Alternatively, I use it to see if I can get them to do something I want them to do. We start with something simple like thinking of the same card. They think of a card, but it is the card they were thnking of, but I wasn't thinking of one right them. We then do it together. I think this may be based on Nick Trost's description. Jim |

I just say that people have a psychological predisposition to picking a certain card from any group. Or more to the point that the group of cards are psychologically chosen.
-A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.
-It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them. -The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything. See you space cowboy... |

I am just starting but this is one of two that I am always prepared to show. I tell people that they can tell, evae after looking at the cards, that one of them is still different from the others and they KNOW which one it is. This usually works. If it doesn't and I need to prompt them I tell them that what I have just said is simply a fancy way to say, "Pick a card." This usually gets a laugh but always works.
