Is this effect similar to david stone's routine on real secrets of magic?

Fiber optics is the hottest rope routine there is. You can find demos of it everywhere, I have never heard of David Stone. What is his routine like?

I've heard of David Stone - French magician. Works in fancy restaurants/nightclubs in places like Cannes. Lectures quite a bit too - but I've never seen any rope stuff from him.

Its on his Real Secrets of Magic dvd. I actually just watched the demo of f.o. again and realized its not so similar after all.

How difficult is f.o. to get down...considering I don't do rope effects?

You can do it...I found learning the sequence more involved than the moves...
This is also an effect that is fun practicing....

It is worth the effort, because of the eye popping results.

Fiber Optics, I believe, is now out of print, discontinued, and hard to find.

The good news is that there will be a Fiber Optics Extreme or something like that due to hit the streets in the near future. At least that's what they tell me.

The Fiber Optics moves are not difficult to learn. Practice will make them flow... you'll be glad you did Smile

First he had "Three ropes and a baby", then he had "Fiber Optics", I just started doing "Interlace", and now he's coming out with "Extreme Fiber Optics". Richard Sanders is making me broke, and I love it. Thanks Frank.

Fiber Optics isn't that hard, but I think it takes a LONG time to get it as good as him. He actually has subtleties that I don't think he's even aware of; they are there in the performance but not in the teaching.

My segments that I use from Fibre Optics get more WTF's than anything else...It plays to large and small groups and really gets the nod from older folks who like the simplicity of ropes...Perhaps they handled more of it in their day.

You will not be disappointed that you take the time to learn the moves. the middle off the rope is one of my favs.

I remember when I performed fiber optics for a group of boy scouts...i'm still smirking over their expressions since they were in high confusion because they has just learned about knot tying the week before.

Fiber Optics is awesome. I agree that the sequencing is the hardest part to get. I learned it in stages. I think I watched the video 50 times, very entertaining. It is probably the best instructional DVD I have seen. The routine plays to any size audience, stage, walk-around, restaurants. It works everywhere!

If you learned some of George Sand's work and Daryl's Rope Routine, Fiber Optics will be easy to learn. I watched the whole video a couple of times and the performance part about half a dozen times, slept on it, and was performance ready the next day.

Wow, I must be really slow. It takes me at least a month to make ANY routine my own and performance ready.

Agreed...Unless you are familiar with the moves, this will take a while to learn..

I do not do all of the Richard Sanders moves. I use fiber optics as a foundation with moves from other sources to make my own routine.

The groundwork was already there - presentation, technique, etc. I had performed similar routines for years. The only thing that changed was a few details.
