Is there anything in print on this? I believe it was referred to in the Dai Vernon book of Magic in passing (no actual routine) - any information on Leipzig's routine would be appreciated.

It's in the "Leipzig Book" by Vernon and Ganson.
But it is only four pages !

It does appear in the Leipzig book, though the information is partially incorrect. I'm currently in the process of writing a new book on Leipzig which will include his actual routine, among other "new" things.

I'd like a copy of that book!

That is a nice thimble routine...

I know it is subjective - how do you compare that to Rosini's impromtu routine (which I like) in the Dai Vernon book of magic? Rosini's seems mainly to be a transposition - what does Leipzig's contain? What is the rest of the book like?

BTW Jim - what stage are you in with the book? Can you tip what you are including; it sounds great!

I'm still in the process of researching things, though the info I have on the thimble routine is fairly complete at this point. It'll be a couple of years before the thing gets released, since this is not a full time job for me and I'm doing it in my spare time. The material is going to cover a lot of what's in the book Vernon and Ganson put out (as well as what's in the Leipzig section of the Benson book), but it will be expanded and corrected. Plus, there will be additional material (both biographical and trick-wise) that isn't included anywhere else.

Leipzig's thimble routine starts with the production of a single thimble. It is then vanished and reproduced a couple of times. Next it jumps from the index finger of one hand to the index finger of another. Then, suddenly, a total of eight thimbles appear on his fingers (nothing on the thumbs).
