What you charge depends on the value you set your self at,
the "percieved" value is set by how you present your self to the client.

if you walk in with desperation then you will be haggled down or even out right rejected.

if you set the price to low you are (in the managers mind) not very good.

in my experiance it has been better to set to high a price then to low...
you can always take some of it in trade to make it easy to swallow for them...

use "benifits" as a selling point.

for example repeat busines, sevice lag doesn't seem as bad when you have entertainment to keep your mind busy, these are just a few of the marketing ideas you can use, but go to the first meeting with confidence on your price and stick to it..

I only perform at higher end venues so the 2 pate formulae is ok for me, I average 150 per hr... any less and it would not be worth it to me.

what we do should be a great marketing ploy for the venue, they need a reason not to say no to you....
