Even Though I Did...I Didn't
After posting my Infinity Pass a fellow magician/gambler wrote to me advising me of his 30 year search for the perfect pass and that the only pass/hop that he saw that defied detection was mine and a person by the name of Frank Thompson. I was pleased with that until today when I received his booklet and found out by reading and looking at the pictures that it was my Infinity Pass explained in another way. So in other words even though I thought I invented a new pass, Frank Thompson is the inventor of it instead of I and his 1981 manuscript "The Thompson Pass" proves it. The only thing I made up was a variant, a move applicable to the card table. I will still call my table variant the Infinity Pass but as far as I am concerned Frank is the originator. Bottom Line: Any one who doesn't have a full understanding of my Infinity Pass need to purchase "The Thompson Pass" pamphlet to get a better understanding of it. Note: Frank's Cold Deck booklet is really not a cold deck book as far as I'm concerned. I did just the other day invent the Infinity Greek Deal Pass (holding back the burner/plastic card while cutting the deck). Take Care Respectfully, Doc P.S. I guess "there's nothing new under the sun" after all so all we're doing is re-inventing moves that were invented before but because of access to the internet they are just now being shown. |

Hey, at least you did the research and acknowledged the man. A lot of people just assume that something they came up with is brand new and never follow up. And when they are shown that their creation is not entirely new, they don't always "man up" and acknowledge it. There's nothing wrong with independent creation. It's dosen't detract from the work you did and the excellent pass you worked out on your own.

I think mike herbert just posted a thread about the zingone pass, because he wanted to figure out a pass which would retain the bottom cut card. He mentioned that your infinity pass would be pretty easy to modify to do so. I wonder, did you see that thread and think to work on the infinity greek deal pass? I sure did, and am working on (probably the same) cut card retaining infinity pass variation.

If no one has already said this already.
Thanks for your generosity and honesty Doc. |

Thanks for the info Doc. It would be cool to see passes that retained the cut card as they are used in all games where I play.

Now ya'll are going to make me take me demonstrate this one too. Let me see if I can make a quick video and post it for ya'll. In the meanwhile I'm going to check out this Zingone Pass; I thought it was a magic pass.
Note: I just saw that pass and to be honest I don't like it for the card table and it does not retain the bottom card. Respectfully, Doc |

Here is my Infinity Greek Deal Pass. I call this hop the Greek Deal Pass because when one Greek Deal there's always a burner at the bottom of the deck you have to avoid. This hop will put the deck back together with the burner intact just incase you can't center deal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWPpV6pTa4g I thought that you were going to teach it? Do some homework and your wish will be granted. Only the dedicated and hard workers will go on to be the elite. Take Care Respectfully, Doc P.S. Jaz and Vandy, I thank you both for your compliments. |

It's just so smooth! The Infinity Pass is a work of art.
I've just ordered my copy of The Thompson Pass booklet. Thanks for the heads-up, Doc. Best wishes from the Other Side Of The Planet (Australia), Jason |

For those of you hustler's/magicians that will never learn "Doc's Infinity Pass" I have a gift for you. I made this Greek Deal Hop up about 18 years ago because I wasn't able to do the Center Deal at that time. After Ken Krenzel (one of my teachers) showed me how to do this table hop I made this Greek Deal variant to retain the bottom burner.
Please forgive me for being lazy and for the lighting of my videos. My iMac G5 is conveniently right next to my bed so that when I'm mentally tired sometimes I can still write to ya'll etc. after a long day. That's the Pro's to this now the Con's...since I have a webcam/iSight on this here computer when I stand in front of it to be viewed, my body blocks the only 200 watt light in my room making my video footage very dark. Bottom Line: I'm not going to move this computer or set up my camcorder just to show clear footages of moves that I'm not suppose to be showing ya'll any way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD6KaG_4OR4 Hey ya'll don't be bashing me on this here move because I no longer do it but it worked at the time. I last did this move about 15 years ago when I trying to learn hops and how to Greek Deal. Respectfully, Doc |

As they might say in expert card technique; That is a cool clean-cut method for attaining a result required. It is this sort of secret knowledge which makes you the craftsman you are. Whatever it is I like it, thank you.

We've been over this before. Many (700) look and never write (10 write) or show interest and I'm tired of it so because of them now my videos come down faster as ya'll have seen. Thank the unthankful for this.
Now as far as anyone being a part of my YouTube Group, I have none because I don't know how to do it; therefore I delete all invitations. Doc |
