Best buy: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at Costco".

I didn't realize that a title like this was selling at "Best Buy".

My best buy was Mona Lisa 2.

Actually this trick is expensive and the "unique method" touted in the adverts turned out to be the oldest trick in the book (I groaned when I saw it).

But I bought it while Penguin was having a Halloween promotion and received into the bargain: Alvo Stockman's mix tape, Jay Sankey's Private Property and Dixie Dooleys 4 DVD Escapology set.

Pegasus Page from Osterlind's NO CAMERA TRICKS DVDS. -- an old Art Emerson effect that kills ; stuns ; definitely have to use a disclaimer to avoid the mob burning you at the stake...

No kidding. That was wild!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Influence U, both 1 & 2 by Lee & Larry, IMHO are tough to beat. Impromptu, carry anywhere miracles to go.

Many others get high marks, but these two for their creativity and "impossible to reconstruct" aspect, are fabulous.

My best buys this year ( I think all these were bought this year) were The Sherlock Holmes booktest, Dracula booktest, several several Outlaw products - and all are included in the best category, and a fender passport sound system which is so much lighter than my peavey escort!

Maybe that last one didn't actually count as a mentalism effect but that's OK.
