I just got the Knock-Out Coin Set All 3 on one DVD.
Is it my set or does anyone else have this set and find the quality of the DVD very poor? Smile

Since these tapes were made back in 1985 and tape media degrades over time this was the best they could do. Now that we got that out of the way, I think Dr. Rubinstein's stuff is still cutting edge as far as coin magic is concerned. He brought back basic coin magic and turned them into coin magic the way they are today.

I'd agree that the quality is not up to today's standards but (imo) I don't think it took away from the performance. I still enjoyed watching his magic very much - but I do wish whoever owns the video rights would re-make the series. I'm sure Michael has come up with some great insights and subtle nuances since the originals were filmed!

I find it a bit "grainy" for lack of a better word but I bought the DVD to learn more magic with coins and it worked. You can watch over & over without worry of your VCR eating yet another tape. Think about it like an old book, say a first edition Bobo, the pages may get a little yellow and dogeared but you would still learn from it.
