Just might have something to do with why they used a 7 meter long sewer pipr to generate the tone for the experiment... amplifiers and sound equipment are not designed to work down that low... It ain't sound. However, many old church organs could produce some notes in this range by beating with other notes... not too many notes and not flexable at all.
Now vibration test equipment is designed to cover frequencies far lower... Think shaker not speaker... then it's simply a matter of building a large diaphram to "shake" the air efficiently. There is math involved here though. Steve |

Wasn't there a device that made any wall or sheet of wood a speaker? I remember seeing it as a demo at a magic convention back in the 70's in Knoxville. There was a magician Austini who did demos for this company. You could attach it to a wall and the whole wall became the diaphram. Anybody rememeber this?

Hce why I wrote above "Most importantly an amplifier and a loudspeaker that are built for this."
It is of course definately possible to build speakers and amplifiers for this matter. It is all just a matter of a bit of maths Making it mobile though, without having to resort to a big speaker, that is something else
