A member of our Ring has died within the
last several weeks and the question has arisn
as to whether or not the dues that he has paid
throughout his membership will be returned to
his family. Several of the members of our Ring
have heard the rumor that this is standard operational
proceedure.

Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks in advance,
dabru

If you are refering to local ring dues, there might be some local ring thing in ur by-laws about that, but on the international level, there is no return.

Yep...I've never heard of dues being returned from the National office.

Sorry for your clubs loss.

Mark.

At one time, a number of years ago there was a "Return of Dues" program which was a sort of term life insurance that did, in fact, pay the beneficiaries of a deceased member the dues he had paid during his participation in the plan. However, the program was discontinued quite some time ago - in the early '80s if my memory serves me correctly.
