I know how to do it but I can only pull off a few cards per load. I have seen magicians produce what seems like a full deck of cards from "air" and was wondering, are there special cards or a gimmick ie a holder for such a quantity of cards? or do they just practice like crazy with a regular deck of bikes?

You could try buying the norm neilson cards. They are soft so you can produce alot.

You need to get Bee brand poker size playing cards and Jeff McBride Art of Card Manipulation Volume 2. He teaches you how to turn a regular deck into a manipulation deck.
Best Brandon P.S.- Get some fanning powder and a card press from Norm Neilson also.

It depends on how many cards you can back palm. An average load will be able to produce 3 - 6 fans (again depending on how many cards per fan). When the back palmed load are exhausted you can reload and more card fans appear again.
The continuous card fans production you saw was probably - the performer reloading a couple of times to produce a lot of fans and the left hand also producing fans too. This collective actions can lead the human mind to think endless card fans are produced from the air. You need to keep on practising to develop finger strength in order to back palm a good load. |

You can also try a bridge sized manipulation deck. The cards aren't quite as large as poker size and they are considraly thinner. The manip deck I have is only about 1/3 of the thickness of a standard deck, yet has the same number of cards.

I will try to pick up the Jeff McBride DVD and see how things work out. The manipulation cards seem like a worthy investment as well.

I think Bee`s work best!Break them in and they are very good for manipulation!
Your finger get more strengh and in a few weeks you may backpalm about 15-20 cards, no need to hold more, you can do so many other productions or you may bodyload new ones and so you can mix all that up! No need to buy manipulation cards! |

Quote: Buy all three of McBride's tapes. Also, Bees are the best. I have been manipulating for 7 years, and have tried Nielson cards, Chen cards, Marvey cards...I still use Bees. I have also found that after many years of manipulating cards, I can open up a brand new deck of Bees in the car on the way to the show, and perform with it...Finger strength will come, and life will be good.
