Just curious on what do you prefer.

Producing the coins one at a time

or Producing all the coins all at once.

I myself like producing the coins one at a time. IMHO with the right sutlties it really looks like your pull coins out of no where with totally empty hands. I like to milk the moment for all its worth if you know what I mean.

I tend to agree. Pulling one coin out of nowhere (or off the spectator) or finding it under their drink, is the probably the most amazing thing your audience has experienced, until you do it again. Then, they get the idea that maybe you can produce as may as you'd like, and their initial innocence is lost (granted, for some it's less of a loss than others) Smile

So the only way to get full impact out of both effects is to produce the singles first, and then the multiples after. The other way around is the definition of anti-climax.

Gary Kurtz (wot, that guy again?) has mentioned that in a series of productions, you can vary the tempo of the appearances to produce a mild surprise. i.e. 1,2,3 is set up as the usual rythym, the last. is 1,..2-3. (two together) Smile

You got that? Cool. Smile

Curtis Kam (not this guy too. Smile ) has a great routine with Bejing coins across off the POS 2 DVD.

It sets up a great routine and the rythmn of the coins appearing one at a time, switching with different coins, and disappearing.

As well with Kainoa Harbottle off the same DVD with his coins from nostril routine.

To just pull out three or more coins seems lack lustered. At the very least, the coins shouldn't just come out of the purse, unless the routine calls for it.
