The funny thing is that YouTube is a wonder for protecting IP, social discourse and also for advertising.
But as to shutting it down till it institutes a copyright protection policy *(try embedding a digital signature in your work and ask them to scan for it folks) then ... you are asking folks to do something which is neither profitable nor even feasible. But if YOU can do the scan and make the claim... there should be no cause for a delay in removing your property from their site.
