Hi Guys,
I already posted this in the card workers forum, but I though I would post it here too, as it's really a mental effect. I seem to have lost the instructions for the PF Miracle Gimmick. If anyone out there has this "device" could you private message me - I'm having trouble remembering a few things about the layout - especially what the thick black lines are for... Thanks, Steve |

On the Subject of the Paul Fox Trick, Andrew Wimhurst has a great non-gimmick, impromptu version of the Paul Fox. The only requirement is that you have to have experience with faro shuffling.

Is the Wimhurst version based on the Ray Grismer version (substituting the two Faros for the funny dealing procedure Grismer employs)?
Details make perfection, but perfection is no detail.

Another note on the Paul Fox Miracle Gimmick...Danny Archer has a routine, without the gimmick and using two decks. It's titled "Out Foxed" and can be found in his lecture notes entitled "Working Alone". Its worth a look.

Chrismatt,
The version in my lecture notes is based on Allan Ackerman's version but no fishing is required - as long as the spectator admits they see their card in a dealt group you will know its identity. It also includes a great idea from Allan, who started using my handling in preference to his after I showed it to him about seven years ago. In the method, the spectators still get to shuffle, think of a card, then shuffle again - so it seems miraculous. Ackerman is a genius and my method was only possible because I stood on the shoulders of a giant. Best Andrew

I have a video (Las Vegas Card Expert, Vol 1, A-1 Multimedia 1993)there Allan do this incredible routine; Imprompty Paul Fox.
The routine looks impossible. For a laymen it would be like to see a miracle. |

Is Ackerman's routine similar to J. Mendoza's "Poker Mental?"
