Michael,
I really appreciate that you are working on another levitation. However this method is pretty transparent as to what you are actually doing. I think part of what gives it away is how long it takes you to get your heel out as well as the strange shape your pant leg takes on during the levitation. Just my two cents. Keep creating! I'll be honest that it looks half decent. It doesn't look horrible. But as others have said, it is fairly obvious what is happening. I'd be curious as to the demographic of spectators you have shown this to. I don't think it is really powerful enough to do any marketing/selling of the effect though. I find most self-levs to be weak. Actually yours is more a suspension then levitation.
I find that if the effect isn't 90% effective, then it is a waste of time to do it. Now some of that may be in one's own presentation or lack thereof, but some of it lies in the strength of the effect. With this effect, I think it will almost entirely rely on presentation (which I would like to see some) because, strength wise just as an effect, it is weak. |

I have an advance copy of this levitation, and it is indeed impromptu, it is a good effect if practiced, but I just don't think that Michael is truly ready to release this, or even perform it. I have never seen a live performance from this kid, so I don't know his true performing ability.
For your sake Michael, I'd wait a few years. Mitchell

You're right, this particuar performance isn't great, but I'd say it is pretty good considering my balance issues. I will work on my performance a bit more, and I am currently negotiating to put this on the market later.

Michael,
I want you to be encouraged to create more magic, but I also want to be straight with you. If you release this it probably isn't going to be successful because with an item like this you are only buying the secret. Almost all magicians will know the secret from the demo and since they aren't receiving an apparatus most will just use it if they find they can use it. There are a few honest people out there that will feel the need to buy it in order to use it. However I think the majority of people/magicians will just take it and use it after watching the demo. Michael,
If you are going to do another video... why not zoom out so we can see your whole body while levitating. I think that will help with the effect so attention isn't all focused on the " move". Best, Tim |

Thank you for your support, and glad you liked my idea. You're right, I didn't have the best performance in the video at all... I am still working on balance issues as well. But I am spending a ton of my time developing this effect and hopefully this will become my next big idea! And don't worry, you'll all see more very soon!
