It doesn't make it possible either. I say "almost impossible" because one of my core beliefs is that nothing is impossible. Therefore I have only proved my point. That you can only operate through your own beliefs.
Except beliefs aren't reality. Reality is fluid and so are beliefs. So nothing has been proven only different perspectives have been explored.. |

The uncertainty principle in quantum mechanics is sometimes erroneously explained by claiming that the measurement of position necessarily disturbs a particle's momentum, and vice versa—i.e., that the uncertainty principle is a manifestation of the observer effect....Another problem with this view is that it misperceives the way measurement in quantum mechanics is understood. I'll go a bit further and say that the application of laws in quantum physics to the macroscopic world is completely inappropriate. The whole desire for a unified theory of physics is that quantum mechanics doesn't apply to non-subatomic things. It's a fun thing to say and often, people won't actually call you on it, but it just isn't correct. An example of this type of reasoning would be saying "There is faster than light (FTL) travel available because I saw it in a Star Wars movie." Once again, fun, but not relevant to the world we actually live in. Please tell me, btw, what you mean by reality is fluid? "you can only operate through your own beliefs" Um, not really either. This is why a standardized approach (scientific method) has evolved over the years, to minimize (I admit the impossibility of eliminating in every case) the effects. However, with the advent of automation and computer programs to do analysis, a lot of the possibility for subjectivism in science has been eliminated. -C

that's an interesting belief you have...."a lot of possibility" Not all then? That kind of makes your argument redundant wouldn't you say? >>>>>>I'll go a bit further and say that the application of laws in quantum physics to the macroscopic world is completely inappropriate. If one law can apply to a small particle. Surely that must affect the whole. Since the bigger parts are only organised small parts. If you accept one part then you have to accept the "possibility" of the other. Not to is a bit like saying Star Wars is entertaining.. If we had no control over our reality we would all be at the same level in life... And that clearly isn't the case. We all have choices.. |
