Still recovering but had a great time... Tomsoni and Co.(Pam nad Johnny) Mike Cavney, Lee Asher, Dean Hankey, Mark Kalin and Jinger Mark Horowitz AKA Lee Ashers dad. What a line up of talent and lectures that Donovan and Ryan put together. I am sure their are a lot of tired magicians today. Hey if you were there what was your favourite moment or event at the convention!

Scott, with the amount of work you did (Scott was responsible for the video projection work that made the convention what is was) it's entirely understandable... but you forgot the amazing J.C. Wagner, the hilarious Stephen Bargatze, the charming cheat Martin Nash, the knowledgable Stephen Forrester, and the special surprise workshop by Shawn Kinley (who nobody other than those at the PCAM would have heard of)
I couldn't be happier with how the convention went, thanks to a great, and very friendly talent line-up, fantastic attendees, and an extremely helpful group of volunteers. I think, in the big picture, my personal highlight was having the opportunity to work on stage with Johnny and Pam Thompson. Even if he scared the hell out of me at one point! -Ryan P.S. I'm also happy to have carried on Brian's PCAM tradition.

Ryan already alluded to my favorite moment, when he carried on Brian's tradition. Just kidding, there were so many highlights I can't pick out one. Jinger was... ahem... awesome ;-), Stephen Bargatze's lecture was great, and I'm a big Mike Caveney fan.
As the parent of a junior I'd like to say that I was extremely pleased with how the juniors were treated. Having a pizza party for the juniors and having all the talent attend and be so approachable was great. The trading cards really helped give my son more understanding of who they were and gave him a reason to go talk to them (and get autographs). The hotel lobby was setup better than most, with a comfortable area to just hang out and jam. Thanks for all the hard work Ryan and Donovan and the rest. |

I thought that Paul Daniels was supposed to work this convention - what happened with that?

Hey Guys,
This year's PCAM was everything one could hope for. The talent was all A-List (not a filler act in sight) and EXTREMELY approachable. With almost no exception, they were all in the hospitality room at the end of the day chatting and sessioning with the attendees 'til the wee hours of the morning. Above all, Ryan and Donovan managed to really accomplish something special; a feeling of community. No other convention of this type that I've attended has had such a tight friendly atmosphere among the attendees. Card guys hung out with stage guys, juniors hung out with mentalists, and coin guys hung out with imaginary friends. It was a killer time all around. Bravo gentlemen! Tyler Wilson P.S. Damien, Mr. Daniels unfortunately had to cancel his appearance due to health issues. Ryan and Donovan did send a card around the convention for the attendees to sign and wish him well. Feel free to send him an email with similar thoughts, I'm sure he'd really appreciate it. |
