Hi everyone,
Just starting out. I'm interested in how limited the editions are of particular tricks and methods. As I understand, back in the day pamphlets and such were of very limited editions - thereby limiting the method to the few hundred who bought it. Today, do most suppliers just keep reprinting until no-one is buying anymore, or do they do a certain number and that's that? Thanks for any replies... |

They do it both ways depending on the publisher and creator

Which publishers/creators tend to do limited runs?
Is it just the smaller ones (often because of finances) or do some of the more popular ones release limited editions too? |

I don't think you'll have much problem, no need to rush in and buy anything in case it ceases production. Sure it happens, but if you read reviews here on the Café pretty much anything that has met widespread acclaim is going to stay available for a long time. Even when discontinued or temporarily unavailable you've always got the 2nd market (eg ebay) - a great place to get the item. Be wary of dvds on ebay, lots of people selling copies as originals (to the unwary they look very similar)

Thanks,
not really about going and buying what was limited - more just out of interest really. I suppose if something does go out of print, someone makes a variation on it and prints it again... |
