I am trying to do the biddle move and was wondering how you guys put a break in for the card you want to steal?

Do you use a pinkie break, or a in jog, or out jog.

I have been playing with it and it seems that jogging the card makes it look a little sloppier (in a good way) and kinda more believable.

How do you prefer doing it?

As both hands don't separate too much, pinky break is not visible. You need look at the cards to jog a card and to steal the jogged card.

"The Royal Road To Card Magic" shows and discusses making the jog while making the overhand shuffle. The DVD or book recommend to learn and/or jog while overhand shuffling and not looking at the cards. The right hand creates the jog. The card thus jogged should rest on the left hand little finger." The "Undercut" is then used to bring the card/cards directly under a jogged card to the top of the deck. Both methods can do the job. Hope this helps.

Actually that helps!

If doing it both ways is correct, then I can do what looks best, or which one I perform best.

I just don't want to pick up bad habits.

Over Hand Shuffle and Biddle Move have big differences.

1. You don't get audience's attention in the former, you get audience's attention in the latter.
2. The face of cards are facing to upper left in the former, but the face of cards are facing towards audience in the latter.
3. The former is done quickly, the latter is done not so quickly.

My teacher, Larry Jennings would say "Usibg Pinky Break is not a bad habit".

As long as you get the job done and you look clean doing it, it really doesn't matter how you do it. You have to do what works for you.

Do you mean using 'jog' for Biddle move is good?

Pinky Break, definately.
"Mommy, what's that man doing up there?"
"He's putting on a Blindfold, my dear."
"What's a Blindfold, Mommy?"
"Something you wear so that you cannot see."
"Why's he wearing one, Mommy?"
"So that he can tell us what he's looking at." -

Of course.

But side-jog (to right) is sometimes used in stealing.

I found the DVD "BORN TO PERFORM CARD MAGIC" by Oz Pearlman was excellent in showing the fundamentals such as Biddle Grip and Pinky Break etc. It sells for about $30.oo from Penguin Magic.
