Yea, like every magic trick out there are cons. the perfect solution would be "real magic"
The coin in bottle effects I plan on including range from dead easy to bold(but very do-able).There is a gimmick involved which can be made with a few inexpensive things from the hardware. I must say that the display of the bottle is clean. You even shake the bottle seconds before you do the penetration. I am borrowing a camera and will shot the demo with a group of lay people to show you how well this works with the audience. With so much Coin in bottle in one release I might hold back the Card in Bottle as a futue release (thinking it over) I will now bow out of this thread until the demo is out. Its put up or shut up. I must say that the impervious team have been very supportive of my effect even though it could be seen as a rival. I thank them for their grace.(unlike some other magic companies who get their panties in a bunch anytime someone even mentions releasing something similar) Thank you. See you soon! Mac |

These so called other companies that send their lackies over to bash a rivial product do not have the confidence that others have with their products. I for one, will be awaiting your release, as I am confedient that I will learn something new. At the end of the day, creators are magicians first, at least I am. Good luck with your future endevours, Regards, Jeremy Hanrahan

I really hope you decide to show your card in bottle, if not we'll just have to wait. The borrowed key to bottle routine sounds interesting too. |

I wrote up a manuscript for the signed card in bottle 25 years ago, and never marketed it. I did circulate the manuscript among a few select friends. It used a regular soda or beer bottle, with a metal cap. I will not accuse anyone here of stealing my method.
I don't think anyone else should make accusations to anyone of a similar nature. People have been slammin coins throuhgh the bases of bottles for over 100 years. Nobody on this forum is old enough to make any claims to that either. The effect of ALL CIB's is the same. A coin penetrates a bottle. Get over it. I'm going to be away from computers for about 10 days. Squabble amongst yourselves.

Bottle shown empty-coin taken from spec-coin penetrates bottle-spec is dazed-everything is handed out. Will you be releasing your card to bottle effect? Regards, Jeremy Hanrahan

No disrespect guys this is just my personal opinion.. but Why the hell is everyone coming out with coin in bottles? .. coin in this coin in that.. it's getting so old.. theres probably a thousand coin in bottles on the market , do we really need more? what was wrong with using a folding quartar anyway? isn't that the way it's supposed to be done??? - I mean to a spectator it's all the same... so whats the big deal??

Because even though the basic effect of a coin going into a bottle will be the same for the spec with each, why settle for a folding coin when you can use a real one which the spec can keep.
Also most handlings differ in difficulty to perform, fairness of the handling and penetration, and overall visualness. If we all thought like that then magic wouldn't move forward, we'd all be performing identical things and the specs wouldn't get to experience anything new. Also add in things like being impromptu etc and it's easy to see why we are always striving to improve upon the effect, to offer the most magical experience to the specs. |

Y2John: CiB's are already stepping all over each other, look at Ace Illusions' CiB method is "discovered" by Impervious team with their 3rd method. A bottle is not cards, there's only X number of methods.
Reminds me of the Simpson's episode where they keep making minor updates to Lisa's favorite doll, then reselling. BUT SHE HAS A NEW HAT! |

From the reviews the 3rd method of Impervious seems to be the best effect in Impervious. People are saying it is their favourite effect in Impervious. I'm glad that fellow magicians like the method that I discovered. Plus, their 3rd method is only similar to the impromptu version of my effect Sealed & Stuck. The main effect of Sealed & Stuck (the one on the demo video) uses a very different method from the impromptu version. And in my opinion, Sealed & Stuck is far stronger than the impromptu version. The other 3 versions of Sealed & Stuck and the other 2 version of Impervious look totally different and used different methods. Hope future magic creators can try to do more research, so that things like this would not happen again. I'll always welcome new methods to the CTB effect. Like what Jeremy said, we are trying our best to perfect the wheel here. |
