I've seen both Barry Richardson and Jeff McBride do it. What other big names have added this to their repetoire?

Though not a big name, I do. Harry Lorayne of course, Bill Larsen. It's a killer for very little work. Jack KentTillar's, The Memory Game, has a great deal of info, easier to use than Lorayne's in my opinion. I actually use Tony Andruzzi's system, but any one is good. You also might try thelearnedpig.com.pa which has Zuffal's method available, as does lybrary.com, which has a few other very good books on memory, notably O'brien's How To Develop a Perfect Memory.

No names but I did just see Jeff McBride do this on Saturday in Atlantic City. Very nice.
Will you, won't you, ESP with me?

Marc Salem often features his version of Mag Memory in his shows.
I have also explored this routine for many years and have a few different approaches to it. |

I did this for the first time on Wednesday the 15th and it played huge. I got way more comments and questions about it than any other single thing I have done. It literally stuns a lay audience. I did the Billy Graham cover issue of time, by the way, 72 pages.

It's not a regular with me, but I've done it several times. Usually due to a specific theme I would pick a magazine that suits it. Like doing a Poe/Halloween show I memorized a Fangoria. When I was around some musicians I did it with a Rolling Stone.
It's a great thing to have in your arsenal. Luckily, it's the real thing so people can't just buy it and do it that night. It takes work. Check out Mr. Hyde's website for a good ebook on techniques and presentations for this particular piece. Greg

Don't know about memorized magazine routines. But Asi Wind does a mem deck superbly. And Michael Weber has one that's easy to memorize.

P.S. I think Max Maven does a memorized magazine on his Nothing DVD, doesn't he?

CJ, you're right. It's more of a book test done with magazines.

I used to do this regularly, now only occasionally, but it's always fun, and the audience loves it.
Jonathan Lovick does a very funny version.
