I can remember the first day of school for both of my boys. It tugs at your heartstrings! Now, my oldest is asking for the car keys...which means in the near future, look for an avatar of me with white hair!

My girl started riding a bicycle (w/training wheels) this summer. I was choked up for days.

I know how you feel . . . each day's a milestone.
Mine are in middle school/junior high, but I still get choked up when they're off to their 1st day back. In my mind, it takes me back to their 1st day in kindergarten.

My wife taught Pre K for 20 years. The parents of the kids who had fits being dropped off (by the way parents of those kids, as soon as you are out of sight they usually turn around and have a ball) get frustrated but the parents whos kids just jump right in kind of wish for a lil' resistance. She'll learn a lot and have a good time.

I'll never forget missing my son's first day riding on the bus to attend first grade. I turned down the street only to see the bus pulling away. OMG! I cried like a baby as the bus went on it's way. It's something that I'll never forget. I felt like I let him down, but he forgave me and I was always there everday after that. As Rick has said God bless all our precious children.
