I found that by merely pausing the DVD at a few critical times, I could follow the construction of the gimmick pretty easily. However, I will say that Gregory Wilson's instructions were a little more detailed.

I guess I will eventually figure it out, but I've had difficulty thus far, even stopping and starting the DVD to try and figure out how the gimmick is made. It wouldn't be that difficult for the producers to create an ABCD diagram, ala Greg Wilson, to help the graphically challenged, like me. It would be useless to anyone that doesn't have the DVD, but a great help to some (a lot?) of us.
I know nothing about the production of a commercial DVD, but I do know that no decent book editor would ever let something like this pass. I just looked at the DVD again and Karl defers to Patrick Page and Greg Wilson for construction details. I no longer have the Page stuff, but I do know that following the Wilson DVD results in a gimmick different that the one used in the routine explanation. I understand that I can still use the "Wilson" gimmick, but I still feel that it is inexcusable that the author and producer allowed this to pass on a single trick DVD. s.a.m. |

I agree completely. This is a smooth handing of a great routine, but the explanation of the construction of the gimmick is greatly lacking. You can use the Wilson gimmick to perform this routine, but, again, this DVD was a disappointment,

Richard Sanders goes into great detail on the construction of the packet....
I assume Wilson does too, reading the posts here... (I don't have the Wilson effect)....but I agree with s.a.m. ... How can they let this go by, especially with the cost of these single effect dvds?? ..

I was at a mahgic convention last night and randomly asked someone to build the gimmick from the dvd and he did it within 10 minutes...how he did this was to just pause the dvd as it was playing while karl hein was turning the gimmick and rotating it...
we have always had great reviews from everything we have produced and have taken great care to make sure that all of our customers were satisfied...we apologize for any problems that you are having but, and this is NOT discounting what you are saying....i built my gimmick from this dvd and so have 1000's of others.. if there is something that you guys would like me to do other than posting a video of how to build this I would certainly comsider this... if you feel that we have done you wrong then just simply private me here and I will return your money....is that fair enough? but again, there are very few who are having this issue... I hope this helps and I again would suggest just pause the the rutning of the gimmick and I think this will solve your problems thanks koz |

When Richard Sanders lectured, the only people who asked to see the gimmick reconstructed were older people. Cause even with super Detailed instructions, any form explained they Never could get it. All the top guys have said, MUST HAVE. Never even giving a second thought to the gimmick.
Maybe they should sell the gimmick. Ready to go.. only 210.00$ I think this is great, How much better can you make this trick!! Make them all single! Great handling. Makes it look so smooth and easy flowing. |

Gabriel, don't blink to long, because when you open your eyes, you'll be one of the older guys at the lecture. :rotf:

Funny how my comments are cruel, or my logic is flawed. Did I use the words "bumbling Idiots" or "inexcusable"?
Judging by the words you use, could be a bit of a negative defensive person. I didn't direct it at anyone. Just pointed out it was harder for some people to understand. Even though in the video he shows it clearly. If you own/built a gimmick already, what is the problem with understanding how it works to make another one? |

I have nothing against OLDer people. Ring 211 has "June Horawits" as a member, 93 years old. She is one amazing, smart gal. Still doing performances in our club.
I was the first person to give her my seat in the front row cause I was faster than the old guy with hacking caugh and the walker. the word was OLDER not OLD |

I prefer ones to hundreds, but has anyone thought of making the word counterfit appear on the bills, or vanish from the bills?
